Another 30 Indies Crowned Cardgains Millionnaire

Cardgains buying group has certainly made the most of its 30th anniversary year by marking the milestone through a packed programme of promotions, competitions, charity fundraising – and ending on a high, it has announced some millionaire members!

As a crescendo to its 30th anniversary, some 30 of the buying group’s members received Millionaire Awards, a trophy given to members who have accumulated sales of over £1million from stock ordered through Cardgains suppliers.

This year has seen a 30th Anniversary Prize Draw Bonanza whereby Cardgains suppliers have put up some fabulous prizes for members to win.  
“The lucky (and happy) winners have received prizes including a hot air balloon ride, a weekend trip to Paris on Eurostar, champagne, iPad, hotel accommodation, hampers, cinema tickets, a colour TV as well as lots of ‘product’ prizes.  And the final prize still to be won, a £1,000 shopping voucher!” said Penny Shaw, marketing director of Cardgains. “We’d like to say a big thank you to all our suppliers who were involved in our Anniversary Prize Draw Bonanza, and to all our great members who took part.”

The suppliers who participated in the Prize Draw Bonanza  include Words ‘n’ Wishes, History & Heraldry, Xpressions 4U, Abacus Cards, Xystos, Sarunds, The Great British Card Company, Widdop & Co., Jacksons CRS, Ling Design, Pioneer, Yankee Candle, IC&G, UK Greetings, Second Nature, Paper Rose, Nigel Quiney, Glick and Carte Blanche.

It has not just been members who have benefitted from Cardgains’ 30th birthday as Sue Ryder, the buying group’s charity of the year for 2019 was also a winner as the annual charity challenge – the ‘Almscliffe Anniversary Amble’ – raised £16,000.

As Chris Dyson, joint md of Cardgains told PG Buzz:“It’s been another challenging retailing year, but it was great to see so many suppliers and members getting involved with our celebrations.  It’s now all about next year as our theme moves to 2020 Vision”.
