Sociable summer show opens on Sunday in glorious Harrogate
It’s all going on in Harrogate this weekend as the four-day extravaganza that is Home & Gift kicks off on Sunday, 21 July, and runs until Wednesday 24 July.
As ever, Home & Gift has plenty for visitors and exhibitors to enjoy including the drinks on the lawn in the afternoons, and the popular Sunday Sundowners on the opening night being the backdrop for the announcement of the People’s Choice category of the Gift Of The Year Awards.
With Cardology taking the trophy for the first time two years ago and Fox Under The Moon the winners last year, it could be a hat trick for the greetings industry when Sarah Ward, ceo of GOTY organiser The Giftware Association, steps up to the podium on the first day of the show.
The buyers’ festival at the Harrogate Convention Centre and Majestic Hotel grounds will bring together over 500 brands spanning five halls and numerous marquees, featuring both household favourites and emerging designers, and there’s a digital preview available to view here.
Beyond business, organiser Clarion Events hosts multiple social gatherings throughout the show, including VIP exclusive Happy Hours, all in the relaxed setting of charming Harrogate, making Home & Gift an unique show experience where you can immerse yourself in the vibrant retail community and discover new-season designs, next season’s best sellers, and upcoming trends.
Show manager David Westbrooke said: “The team have worked incredibly hard to deliver a third successive year of double-digit growth, and we look forward to showcasing over 15% more brands again this July – giving buyers even more choice as they look for their next bestseller!
“Visitors will notice a significantly larger footprint and an exciting new layout for the Design Points. With hundreds of brands exhibiting in 2024 that weren’t here last year, Harrogate is the place to be this summer!”
For the second year running The Better Trends Company has curated the show’s Trends Feature, which is located at the front of Hall M in the Convention Centre and will present three key trends for the autumn/winter season that retailers can incorporate into their new collections as they source at the show.
The Better Trends Co has also designed Home & Gift’s look and feel, reflecting a Sun Chaser theme centred around the summer heat, al fresco dining and those easy-breezy summer days, and the team will be on hand to guide visitors through the season’s trends.
The show’s expansion sees 15% more exhibitors than 2023, including 30% being newcomers to Home & Gift, so the Indigo Lounge where visitors can relax and unwind from the bustling show floor will be located in the historic Double Tree by Hilton Majestic Hotel – and all VIP badge holders will have access to complimentary pastries and hot drinks every morning.
On the greeting card front, the show includes Alff A Bet Design, Belly Button Designs, ByOliviaBell, Caroline Gardner, Citrus Bunn, Claire Louise Creative Studio, Coulson Macleod, Daisycat, Dandelion Stationery, Feather:Ink, Fiddy + Mabel, Fox Under The Moon, Ginger Betty, Grace Jackson Design, Heather Alstead Design, Jane Buurman Handmade, Janie Wilson Cardsm, Lil Wabbit, Little Paper Soul, Little Roglets, Lovely Paper Stuff, Mary Ann Rogers, Meg Hawkins, Molly Mae, Moongazer Cards, Musker-Sherwood Designs, Naomi Illustration, Natural Partners, N Smith, Ohh Deer, Once Upon A Tuesday, Paper Rose, Paper+Land, Papersheep, Pigment, Print Circys, Robert James Hull, Roger La Borde, Sarah Kelleher, Sophia Davenport, Stephanie Davies, Stetch, Toasted Crumpet, Tony Fernandez, Tatty Co, The Art File, The Little Dog Laughed, Two Little Monkeys, Umbellifier, Vent For Change, and Willsow.
