With high hopes that card retailers’ tills will be jingling today with last minute cards and gifts being frantically bought, all of us at Progressive Greetings wish you a fabulous Christmas Day tomorrow and a fantastic New Year.
Yes, the emotional rollercoaster ride that we have all experienced over the last few years is still trundling on, but with the success of the Booster roll out, it really does look like things will settle down sooner rather than later.
We feel for the organisers, exhibitors and planned visitors of Top Drawer and Scotland’s Trade Fair, with the current variant prompting the postponement of both shows to late February and March respectively. Plan for the unexpected continues to be the name of the game.
But you can’t keep our great greeting card industry down. Despite all the challenges, millions and millions of cards have been sold by retailers determined to overcome all adversity. And publishers and manufacturers have had to deal with myriad supply problems to keep those card racks filled. And the Great British public, despite everything are still emptying them those racks!
We would like to thank all our readers for supporting all our activities this year. Whether you attended our delayed PG Live exhibition in July, The Henries awards in October or The Retas awards in November, or just took precious time to read Progressive Greetings or PGBuzz.net, without your engagement, input and support we could not do what we do.
A very Happy Christmas to you!
Jakki, Warren and Tracey
