Rumble Cards received something of an unexpected PR boost when Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to share her delight in receiving Valentine’s Day gifts wrapped in the publisher’s paper that features her rapper hubby Kayne West’s face with her 160 million followers.
“How cute is this wrapping paper,” exclaimed Kim in the video she posted on Instagram covering the Valentine’s gifts she received from family and friends.
The wrap, featuring the distinctive graphical design by Jess Howell, founder of Rumble depicts Kayne West in quirky glasses surrounded by floating hearts.
And what’s more, the hugely popular Daily Mail online site, which attracts millions of views every day also featured an extensive story as did the ITV programme Loose Women, including many pictures and embedding the video of Kim’s reaction to the giftwrap from the East London-based publisher.
It’s certainly not every day that a small publisher receives the endorsement of their products from such a high profile celebrity as Kim Kardashian, especially when you don’t really expect it.
Jess admits that she had clocked that an online order was placed for the wrapping paper, part of her Celebrity range, by Khloe Kardashian (Kim’s sister), but did not expect the purchase to result in such prominent exposure.
“It is just a shame that there was no tag or credit to Rumble Cards, but it is still very exciting. And I didn’t have to pay a penny for the endorsement!” Jess told PG Buzz.
This is not the first time the Kardashian family have shown their love of Rumble’s cards as Khloe Kardashian included an Instagram story at Christmas showing the Rumble card that features her and Kim’s mum Kris Jenner. “We sold a lot of this design to the Paper Source stores in the States which is where I expect she bought it,” suggests Jess.
