UKG’s snugglesome pup’s set for new adventures with long-serving staff member
Boofle fan Joanne Holland is heading off for new adventures with her favourite snugglesome pup as she’s just retired after an amazing 47 years as a production operative at UK Greetings.
And on hand for a very special goodbye was the real-life Boofle who made a surprise visit to the publisher’s Dewsbury HQ to wish Joanne a happy retirement.
“Boofle has been adored by many for over 15 years,” UKG marketing assistant Alice Cass told PG Buzz, “so learning of our wonderful colleague’s love for the pup was no big surprise – however, when we heard she’s travelled all over the world with her little Boofle soft toy alongside her, we knew she must be one of his biggest fans!”
To mark Joanne’s near five decades of loyal service with the publishing company, the team got together to ensure a Boof-tastic celebration was arranged and the pup made with 100% love and cuddles, lots of wool and a button turned up with a bag of goodies including delicious celebratory cupcakes.
The surprise was met with pure joy as the snugglesome pup did what every snugglesome pup does best and gave her a great big cuddle, and she was delighted to receive her lovely Boofle gifts, including a new travel companion – a large knitted Boofle soft toy!
Alice added: “Thank you for your many years of hard work! We hope a surprise visit from our lovely pup Boofle made your retirement celebration one to remember.”
