Bubblegum Stuff x Brittany Paige at PG Live

The Apprentice finalist debuts fresh card collaboration at greeting card trade show

Former The Apprentice finalist Courtney Wood is debuting his Bubblegum Stuff business at PG Live thanks to a freshly-inked distribution deal with US stationery and gift brand Brittany Paige.

Courtney met Brittany – known for her pop culture designs – when they were both exhibiting at the same US trade show a year ago and the deal has come together in time for its launch at the UK’s only specialist greeting card trade fair.

“We got chatting and she told me she was looking for a distributor. A year later we met again and when she said she hadn’t firmed up on a distributor I saw an opportunity for us to work together,” said Courtney.

“I then made contact with The Imaging Centre and the printing got underway. I’m really looking forward to launching the range at PG Live,” he added.

The collaboration covers a catalogue of 105 hand-illustrated card designs from the designer based in New York city, known for her “unapologetically witty and empowered” empowered designs inspired by city living, pop culture and celebs such as Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus.

“The contract has been signed, sealed, delivered,” Courtney told PG Buzz. “We’re now officially distributing pop-culture birthday cards from Brittany Paige in the UK.

“She brings sass and style to the table like no other – get ready for a fusion of creativity and flair. With a global presence in over 750 retailers including Macy’s, Paper Source and Barnes & Noble, Brittany Paige is set to make waves in the UK market with Bubblegum Stuff as its trusted distributor.”

Courtney made it to the final of series 12 of The Apprentice with entrepreneur Alan Sugar in 2016 having started Bubblegum Stuff in his mid 20s designing and selling gifts and games, responding to pop culture trends to make people laugh.

Although he lost out to cake company owner Alana Spencer, Courtney has continued to build the business and is now expanding into the greeting card world with the Brittany Paige deal, which features its own 10-page catalogue.

Bubblegum Stuff will be launching the collection on stand 538 at PG Live, which runs over Tuesday and Wednesday, 4-5 June, at London’s Business Design Centre. Its products are available via online wholesale marketplace Faire, which is also exhibiting at PG Live on stand 238. To register to attend click here.
