Royal Mail use new cute piglet stamps to show youngsters joy of sending letters
Peppa Pig is being used to encourage youngsters to get posting letters and cards with cute social media reels featuring the latest release of special stamps.
Celebrating 20 years of the oink-tastic animation beloved by preschoolers, now owned by Hasbro and one of its main brands, the release features four first-class and four £2 stamps, as well as a miniature sheet with two more of each.
Peppa and her little brother George, Daddy and Mummy Pig, Suzy Sheep, Danny Dog, Granny and Grandpa Pig, Polly Parrot, Mr Bull, Madame Gazelle, Mr Zebra and Miss Rabbit all star on the brightly-coloured special stamps.
And Royal Mail’s first reel – which can be seen above – shows Peppa skipping along to the post box to send a letter with a stamp featuring the little pink piglet, accompanied by her daddy, then a postie picks up the mail and is said to have the special job of getting the 20-year celebration under way.
In a second reel released yesterday, Monday 13 May, Mr Zebra can be seen below helping sort the letter on its way for the same postie to deliver it.
The special stamps, miniature sheet, and collectibles are available to pre-order and will be released on Thursday, 16 May.
In other good news stories from Royal Mail, the delivery giant has featured postie Diane on its social media with the caption: “What a special moment for postie Diane, who had the pleasure of delivering a very special birthday message from the King to her own father, Alec, on his 100th birthday.
