Retailers go to town with fabulous festive displays
With just a few shopping days left until the big day, cardies up and down the UK have gone to town to make sure their fabulous festive window displays grab the eye to do their utmost to generate maximum festive sales.
Many clever retailers design their own displays using bespoke artwork and crafted items, and Sean Austin has even come up with a great post-use plan for the Narnia-inspired pieces from Austin & Co’s current display.
“Many people have been admiring the artwork that’s formed our Christmas shop window display,” he explained, “and our plan is for the two pieces of artwork to provide inspiration and imagination to young minds when they’re reading.
“What better place for the trio of prints by Hannah Lawson and the painting by Jo Bonomini to take residence than in a school or public library in Malvern.”
So Sean has sent out the message that he is hear from the town’s folk, especially parents, teachers and governors at local schools, who think they have the space to display the art, either by contacting him through the shop’s Facebook page or emailing hello@austinandco.shop.
He’ll then go through all of the suggestions and select two schools to take the art when the window is changed in the new year.
Here are just a few of the wonderful winter windows that have been popping up on social media over the past few weeks – they are all fabulous examples of the #Cardmitment thrust hard at work!
