Sustainability theme key to January’s triple show – Ambiente, Christmasworld and Creativeworld

 

Ethical style is key to Messe Frankfurt’s upcoming triple show with the theme recurring across Ambiente, Christmasworld and Creativeworld when the co-located exhibitions open in January.

The Ethical Style programme aims to identify exhibitors with ecologically and socially produced products, and stand applications are open until 24 November.

An independent jury of international experts will review and curate companies, with the label prominent on stands, and in the online exhibitor search, specifically bringing together supply and demand.

“Next year, we will be presenting the jury’s selection centred on two larger Ethical Style spots,” explained Julia Uherek, Messe Frankfurt’s vice president of consumer goods fairs, about the shows which run from 26-30 January, with Creativeworld starting a day later on 27 January.

“The spots will each bundle products from the three fairs, putting them in the limelight, and also act as an impulse for presenting goods at point of sale. We want to raise awareness of the important, future-oriented topic of sustainability.”

Additionally, the topic of sustainability will be featured in lectures and presentations in the supporting programme across all three events.

Incorporating the former Paperworld event within Ambiente’s Global Sourcing Office & Stationery in Hall 10.0 at Frankfurt Am Main, the international consumer goods trade fair includes greeting cards, wrap and gifts, while Christmasworld does exactly what’s expected – covering everything to do with festive and seasonal decorations, with the Ribbons & Wrapping product area being the platform for high-quality papers, bags and ribbons through to fast-moving high-volume merchandise.

Show organiser Messe Frankfurt has been addressing the subject of sustainability for years and aligns its activities to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations while gradually expanding its own initiatives, and integrating sustainability into more areas of activity.

On the trends side, trend bureau Bora.herke.palmisano has identified three style worlds for the shows – Aura Of Progress, visionary and elemental; Quality Of Silence, pure and familiar; and Spirit Of Craft, bold and poetical – together they exude a visionary aura, celebrate the luxury of silence and focus on new compositions.

Sustainability runs through all style worlds and living spaces even more consistently than before while, at the same time, material research into improved recycling management produces exciting aesthetic solutions, and craftsmanship is reinterpreted and refined through digital innovations and 3D techniques.

“In uncertain times, it’s not about searching for a short-lived theme,” said Bora.herke.palmisano trend expert Annetta Palmisano. “Instead, Ambiente Trends pick up on important developments and continue them, each with its own focus.

“An unusual use of materials and colours, innovative technologies, elemental elements, a sustainable ethos and material alternatives or the multifaceted art of handicrafts set their own focal points this year. All living themes are united by a conciliatory perspective that preserves the familiar and welcomes the future.”
