Briony Clarke joins Rosie Made A Thing

Publisher ‘very excited’ as experienced retail exec swaps to new role

There’s a new face at Rosie Made A Thing with experienced retail executive Briony Clarke joining as head of product.

For Briony, who is returning from maternity leave, it is a leap from the retail side, latterly with Scribbler to publishing, being welcomed into Kibworth-based Rosie Harrison’s company.

Briony’s greeting card career thus far has been on the retail side, starting with Wilko back in 2013 as its greeting card buyer. She went on to spend over six years on the buying side with Cardfactory before joining Scribbler as head of product in November 2021.

“Time to go back to work after a year of maternity leave, and time for a new adventure,” Briony explained. “I’ve made the tough decision to leave Scribbler, a company that welcomed me with open arms, challenged me, and taught me so much in so many ways.”

Briony is “incredibly excited” by her move to Rosie Made A Thing, stating: “My journey within greeting cards continues”.

Rosie explained that Briony agreed to take the post in the summer and starts on Tuesday, 7 November, when her little girl Peggy goes to nursery.

“As head of product, she will be in charge of all things product, such as overseeing critical paths, purchasing, licensing, etc,” Rosie said, “but, being a small business, I’m sure we’ll keep her pretty busy with lots of stuff that isn’t on her original job spec! She really knows her cards and we’re so excited to have her join us.”
