The only awards that celebrate greeting card retailing in the UK, The Retas are now in their 19th year of shining the spotlight on retailers in all their forms – the best indies and multiple specialists across the country, along with those who stock cards alongside their other main offerings, as well as the retail employees who’ve gone the extra mile.

Please don’t be shy – retailers can enter themselves to be in with a chance of gaining the fame, morale boost and sense of price that winning a Retas’ trophy engenders in your whole team and customers.

Progressive Greetings’ Jakki Brown said: “With all the horrid happenings around the world, it’s important to recognise and celebrate the good things in our lives, both on a personal and business front – and The Retas very much form part of that.

“We’re looking for retail contenders for all the award categories, from brand new shops to long established players, who have demonstrated true ingenuity and a commitment to engage with their customers, over-delivering on product selection, retailing environment and customer service in the last year.”

The Retas entry form is on the awards website, but can also be downloaded here.

“Despite many ongoing challenges, from the postal strikes to cost increases, so many greeting card retailers really have pulled out the stops with their product selection, customer engagement and marketing initiatives and so deserve to have this recognised – The Retas 2023 awards promise to do just that,” commented Warren Lomax, chairman of Max Publishing, which owns and organises The Retas.
