Progressive Greetings’ June 2022 issue is out now

The physical and digital editions are ready to read

 

Yippee! The days are still getting longer….the physical issues of Progressive Greetings’ June edition of the magazine landed a few days ago, and now the digital version is also available to read online. So what are you waiting for? Get stuck in!

As ever PG’s News pages are crammed full of industry happenings from all aspects of our sector. There have been whoops of joy up and down the UK as the finalists of The Retas 2022 celebrate being recognised as the crème de la crème of greeting card retailing (click here).

Among those being fanfared in The Retas is David Robertson, of JP Pozzi fame. In his column this month he pays tribute to the imminent PG Live, for which 2022 is its 14th year. Do you remember your Teenage Kicks? (Click here)

Meanwhile, fellow columnist Cardsharp is quietly optimistic that bricks and mortar is reclaiming some of the public’s love that was lost over the last couple of years during the pandemic (click here).

However, there’s no getting away from it, the soaring costs are causing challenges, pain and suffering across so many aspects of our business and personal lives. In the Viewpoints section, members of the greeting card community share their thoughts on how the cost-of-living crisis has and is impacting on our sector, as well as their personal pick-me-ups (click here).

With the BDC, the home of PG Live being very close to the birthplace of publisher Raspberry Blossom, co-owners Rebecca and Mark Green reflect on the company’s progress over the last eight years and how it will be making its mark at the show this year with a raft of new products (click here).

There will be thousands and thousands of new designs being launched at PG Live as the extended Innovations section testifies (click here) and, adding a festive vibe, there are also some Christmas Innovations pages (click here).

The UK Greetings’ stand at PG Live will not only be showcasing some of its exciting new product developments, but will also reinforce the publisher’s commitment to sustainability (click here).

While the nation is preparing for the Platinum Jubilee, indie retailers Roy and Julia Beswick, of The Card Collection in East Molesey, are in Silver Jubilee mode too, celebrating their shop’s 25th anniversary with a bit of reflection (click here)

In the few years since it blasted on to the scene, Ankorstore has made its presence felt as an B2B platform with greeting cards playing a significant role in its development (click here)
