Cardies encouraged to power up for new design contest

Antalis celebrates paper as communication method with fresh international awards

A new international competition celebrating printed graphic design has been launched by Antalis, with all artists and designers from across the world invited to submit their most creative and sustainable projects, including greeting cards and stationery.

Using paper and board distributed by Antalis, graphic designers, communication agencies, printers and brand owners have until 31 May to submit their best projects using graphic and carton boards or creative, premium or recycled papers for the Antalis Creative Power Awards.

Barry Clemo, marketing director at Antalis, comments: “The Antalis Creative Power Awards is a great opportunity to share the artistic use of paper. In the digital age, it is important to highlight the complementary and indispensable nature of paper as a communication method.

“Originality also goes hand in hand with environmental commitment, which is why we have added an eco-responsible category to this competition. The awards will offer international exposure for our winners, as well as inspire others on the possibilities of printed design on a global scale.”

The competition supports Antalis’ Creative Power initiative that aims to showcase the power of printed communications and promote creative papers and sustainable print.

Partnering with industry leaders, Antalis will also be hosting a series of supporting webinars designed to educate and guide toward more sustainable printing and branding.

The awards are being run in partnership with prestigious graphic design platform The Brand Identity and supported by Arjowiggins Creative Papers and other leading suppliers, with a jury of leading industry professionals set to determine the winners in the four categories:
