Smile Alert! Rapturous Reactions From The Henries Product Finalists

Let’s face it, there has not been a surfeit of good news of late, so when 70 greeting card publishers discovered last Friday (September 11) that their card and wrap ranges had made it into the finals of The Henries, or that they themselves were highlighted as one of the Most Promising Young Designers in the whole UK card industry (https://www.pgbuzz.net/its-official-the-henries-2020-product-finalists-are-revealed/), there were some understandable joyful proclamations.

And these waves of unadulterated positivity deserve to be shared, so here are a few to gorge yourself on…

“Just when we thought 2020 represented everything that was lousy….we received the fabulous news that Five Dollar Shake has been nominated for a Henries or two! We’re absolutely over the moon. Finally, some good news this year!! Cue lots of whooping!!! Thank you to all the judges and everyone at Max for having the awesomenous to keep the awards going for everyone this year. You is gold!” – Matt and Beth Genower, co-owners of Five Dollar Shake

”Oh my word! Over the bloody moon! Chuffed to bits. I’m now on my way to the kitchen to pour a celebratory Gin! Cheers!” – Jo Wilson, founder of Dandelion Stationery

“Oh my days!! The whole team has been jumping for joy this morning after seeing PG Buzz – a huge thank you to you and the team for managing to still host the henries and all the hard work that has gone into organising it as online. It has been such a tough year for everyone and I am totally lost for words but so grateful (and teary!) right now, thank you so much! Xx.” – Jo Clarke, owner of Toasted Crumpet

“We’re feeling over the moon at reaching the finals in The Henries in four different categories. After what has been such a challenging year for us all, it’s great to have some good news. It’s our 25th business anniversary this year, so getting this news is a great way to mark the milestone, even if it isn’t the celebration we had planned. It’s lovely to see the industry acknowledging and supporting all the hard work that has taken place this year from retailers and suppliers.” – Jackie Collins, md of Cherry Orchard Publishing

“Thank you so much to everyone who has nominated us. We are so super excited to be selected as a finalist for two Henries awards this year. Good luck to all nominees – you are all a very talented bunch xx.” – Amanda and Frank Mountain, co-owners of Lola Design.
