Major US greeting card company, Designer Greetings’ acquisitive streak continues as with the acquisition of US independent card and wrappings distributor Expressions Unlimited. Expressions had been a distributor of Designer Greetings’ products for years.
This marks the 13th company Designer Greetings has acquired over the last 14 years. Last May saw Designer Greetings acquire the world-renowned photographic greeting card company Palm Press which followed hot on the heels of its purchase of Kristan Michaels Greetings.
Other acquisitions include Madison Park Greetings, Treasure Greetings, Card$mart, Glitterwrap, Red Farm Studio, Royal Greetings, Northern Exposure, V&M Sales and enGreet.
Commenting on the attraction of the latest purchase, Steve Gimbelman, president and ceo of Designer Greetings said: “Expressions provides excellent product and service to a variety of retailers in the South. We look forward to continuing and building on the success that they have forged over the past 26 years.”
Designer Greetings’ product portfolio is vast, already spanning over 23,000 designs, but Steve is not finished yet and confirmed he is still “actively pursuing acquisitions.”
