Bira Spreads The Love With ShopAppy’s #LoveLocal Day

Looking to spread the love on Valentine’s Day, trade association Bira will be joining forces with ShopAppy’s #LoveLocal Day tomorrow (February 14), to celebrate local card stockists, high streets and markets and other businesses.

The Valentine’s Day initiative is aiming to raise awareness of the site (now operational in 40 areas) by asking consumers to use Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, to share their post and to tag the person that they would most like to share £50 ShopAppy vouchers with, using the hashtag #lovelocalday. Winners will be chosen at random on #lovelocalday February 14.

Shoppers are also be asked to take a photo of their favourite business, business owner or shopkeeper and share it on the #lovelocalday Facebook, Instagram or Twitter page. A shop/shop owner will be selected at random from the pictures uploaded and sent a bunch of flowers from a local independent florist.

In addition, ShopAppy will also be surprising some of the most loved shop owners with Valentine’s cards and messages.

Shopappy works by enabling local independent shops and businesses to show products and services they have for sale in one place online, but consumers can still go into the shop and collect the items.
