Revamped Waterwells Plans Are Now Complete

“I said that we wanted to put the ‘great’ back into Great British Card Company, the total revamp of all the Waterwells brokered displays is very much part of that,” David Byk, ceo of the Swan Mill group which acquired GBCC at the end of August last year.

This month sees the start of totally overhauled displays being installed by the Waterwells’ team.

It the culmination of two and half months hard work by Bianca Mastrodomenico who joined GBCC at the end of October to take up the role of head of brokerage of its Waterwells side.

“We first invested weeks of careful consideration to give our brokerage plans a significant overhaul, drawing upon our knowledge of what works and retaining only bestsellers,” Bianca told PG Buzz. The vast majority of designs are new, and with the injection of additional publishers in the line-up, Bianca feels the overall look “is fresh and different. It really works the space with as much breadth and depth as possible.”

She says that the final plans “offer greater scope in trend and design-led ranges, alongside the well-known funny favourites and best-selling traditional cards.”

The installation of the new plans are now well underway.

Among the first to be treated to a revamped selection was Poplars Garden Centre in Toddington, Beds.

Commenting, buyer Zoe Goodhand said: “Using Great British Card Company as our card broker has enabled us to offer our customers the best mix of UK card publishers through one supply route. The custom-made displays and inclusive merchandising service allows us to free up staff members to focus on other important parts of our business.”
