Strong Line-up Of Speakers For The Ladder Club

The final touches are being put to agenda for this year’s Ladder Club seminar, making it a packed day full of amazing info, inspiration and insights for new and emerging publishers.

“As well as covering how to avoid the many common pitfalls, work out how to make money from card publishing, attendees will find out what retailers and agents really want from newbie publishers as well as the ‘top to toe’ of card production today,” explained Warren Lomax, joint md of Max Publishing (which owns Progressive Greetings), which co-ordinates The Ladder Club.

The one day event, which takes place on Thursday 28 November at London’s Business Design Centre (for the first time this year) will see The Art File’s co-founder Ged Mace share his wealth of experience of running a successful greeting card business, including how to ensure that the costs of producing cards are kept at a viable level.

The bedrock of The Ladder Club is its loyal group of sponsors – The Imaging Centre, Loxleys/Sherwood, GF Smith, Enveco, the GCA and PG Live – who collectively will cover all the cogs in the wheel of taking an idea of a card design right through production before it makes its way to retailers and ultimately the consumer.
