Prime appointments: Rebecca McCulloch joins Elle Media; Doug Morrice joins Paper Rose; Natalia Kosterska joins Urban Outfitters

It is not just in the UK’s political circle that some key appointments have been as there has been some significant ‘mover and shaker’ action within the greeting card sphere.

Rebecca McCulloch – product and creative director of Elle Media

Well- known creative stalwart, Rebecca McCulloch (who was creative director of Ling Design for many years) has joined Elle Media Group as its new product and creative director.

Beccy has been working freelance since she left Ling last year (https://www.pgbuzz.net/experienced-creative-clare-twigger-joins-ling-as-head-of-design/). Beccy has been doing some design work for long established Essex-based Elle, which produces bespoke cards collections (notably for the charity sector) as well as printing for other card publishers as well as brochures, packaging, magazines.

“I have been brought on board to explore new opportunities and improve their creative offering,” said Beccy. “We are working on a fabulous new everyday card offering and strengthening our Christmas seasonal offering for 2020, to maintain our position as a market leading charity publisher,” added Beccy.

Doug Morrice – special projects with Paper Rose

“I am really excited to be back in the industry,” Doug Morrice told PG Buzz. “Three months away from it was enough!”

Doug headed up the sales side of Grass Roots/Write from the Heart for many years until its sad demise earlier this year. The Simon Elvin group acquired many of the company’s assets (notably the two brand names as well as the majority of its design and verse bank) and has recently relaunched Grass Roots/Write from the Heart under its Paper Rose company.

Doug is putting his Grass Roots’ experience to good use, helping the Paper Rose team as the relaunch gets underway.

Natalia Kosterska – Oliver Bonas card buyer leaves to join Urban Outfitters

“I will sorely miss the card industry,” Natalia Kosterska, who has made her mark as card buyer of Oliver Bonas for the last few years is escaping the lure of the trade to join Urban Outfitters. “I am taking on a new product area of media and tech,” Natalia told PG Buzz. Until a new appointment is made, Natalia’s ‘right hand woman’, Siobhain Watkins is holding ‘the greeting card baby’ at OB.
