The super talented Lucy Ledger, founder of the eponymous card company, joining the Paper Rose creative team as a senior designer and her card publishing business is to be fully merged into the Nottingham-based publishing group.
“I’m so excited to join Reggie Pugh, Paper Rose’s creative director and the team – it’s such a fantastic opportunity for me and my brand,” Lucy told PG Buzz yesterday (July 1).

This latest development sees Lucy join Paper Rose full time from August as part of the Nottingham-based creative studio team, which is responsible for greeting cards published under its Paper Rose, The Art Group, Avocado Designs, and Grass Roots/Write from the Heart brands.
“From the moment I met Reggie we just clicked. It has been a great working relationship so it’s wonderful to be able to now take this next step. I absolutely love the Avocado brand, it complements my own perfectly and I have the privilege of joining together with other talented artists such as Clare Tupper to make up a beautiful, unique and varied offering,” added Lucy.
The Lucy Ledger card collection will launch as part of the Paper Rose group at Harrogate Home and Gift (July 14-17).
“We are so excited to have Lucy joining our team,” Reggie commented. “She is a fantastic artist with a very unique brand identity, as well as being a joy to work with her enthusiasm for the card industry is so refreshing. It feels like a perfect opportunity to take the Lucy Ledger brand forward but also give her the opportunity to work on other brands and ranges within the business,” added Reggie.
The Lucy Ledger brand and its best selling ranges will continue under Avocado Designs with the business merger being fully completed in the next couple of months.
Lucy has become famed for her collections of cards based on actual antique cards that are from an album of that was given to her by her grandmother that belonged to her great aunt.
