You’ve got to be in it to win it! Greeting card publishers are being urged to enter The Henries 2019 greeting card product awards, with the deadline now less than two weeks away. There is still time though as publishers have until Friday 21 June to submit their entries. As ever entering The Henries is free of charge and publishers may enter as many ranges and into as many categories as they wish.
Publishers should enter ranges, which have been launched into UK retail since August 1, 2018 or new designs to ongoing ranges.
A Henries’ entry form (which is quick and easy to complete) can be downloaded from the awards’ website. (http://www.thehenriesawards.co.uk/how-to-enter/)
“It is not just the chance of winning a prestigious trophy that makes entering The Henries a ‘must do’ for publishers of all shapes and sizes, but also as the extensive judging panel is made up entirely of retailers your products will be seen by a great number of leading retail buyers,” pointed out Gale Astley, deputy editor of Progressive Greetings.
As part of its centenary celebrations this year the GCA is headline sponsor of The Henries 2019. In recognition of this being the association’s milestone year, The Henries will take on a ‘living history’ theme to mark the last hundred years of greeting cards.
“While The Henries awards are prestigious accolades that champion current day creative excellence which is in abundance in UK greeting card industry, it is a pre-eminence based on a strong legacy,” commented Warren Lomax, joint md of Max Publishing, which owns The Henries (as well as Progressive Greetings). “We are delighted to have the GCA on board as a headline sponsor in the association’s milestone year so we can really celebrate the living history of the UK greeting card industry.”
While the finalists will be announced in August, the winners will not be revealed until a lavish Henries Awards Ball that will take place on Thursday 3 October at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
