All Systems Go As Publisher Interest Soars In Windles’ Kard Klasp

“We have never had such a flurry of response from so many card publishers as we have had for Kard Klasp as an alternative to cellowrapping. It just shows how the greeting card industry really is committed to working together to further improve its environmental credentials,” Michelle Mills, business development and marketing manager of greeting card printer Windles who launched the Kard Klasp peelable label that holds the card and envelope together with no need of additional wrapping recently.

Windles worked in collaboration with Woodmansterne on its Smart Seal https://www.pgbuzz.net/woodmansterne-starts-its-smart-seal-switch-to-unwrapped-cards/, launching Kard Klasp as its own brand.

“As soon as we announced about Kard Klasp we were inundated with enquiries from so many of the 200 card publishers with whom we have not worked with before,” said Michelle. “We are now frantically trying to ensure that production of Kard Klasp can cope with all the demands to have them ready for publishers exhibiting at PG Live in less than a month’s time!”

As production is ramping up on Kard Klasp, Windles has welcomed a well known face to its team. Nicky Marshall, previously of The Sherwood Group has joined Windles as key accounts manager to provide the company with greater coverage in the north of England.

Commenting, Nicky said: “I’m delighted to join the Windles team, everyone has given me a big warm welcome and I very much look forward to my future here.”

Among the other recent developments at Windles is the launch of its new Cold Foil brochure which features the 600 different colours now available.

“We used to offer 300 colour options, but have recently doubled this to give publishers even more choice,” said Michelle of the company’s pioneering greeting card production finish.
