In the same week that Cherry Orchard Publishing has £1,000 in cash prizes to four lucky card stockists, winners of its Down Memory Lane Grand Prize Draw, PG Buzz shares some ‘prize’ revelations from the publisher’s co-founder and managing director, Jackie Collins, which involve a trip down her own memory lane! 

 

What are your guilty pleasures?

“Revels, Quavers and Reader’s Digest… I still have a subscription to the latter.”

What words of wisdom would you like to share? “It was something I remember Noel Edmonds saying – fact, knowledge, opinion and don’t judge.”

 

Who would be your dream dinner party guests? “Bob Monkhouse, Terry Wogan and Judi Dench.”

 

What would get you on the dancefloor immediately?

“Anything Motown.”

What three words would your best friend use to describe you?

“Lively, loyal, determined.”

 

How does your day start?

“I am always awake early and love to take my dog Woody for a walk at 6am. I love the solitude, it is great thinking time, and seeing my dog, who came from a rescue home, so happy always brings a smile to my face.”

What trait do you least like in someone?

“Arrogance.”

 

What trait do you most like in someone?

“Modesty.”

“Tallinn in Estonia. I love European city breaks.”

 

 

£1,000 of ‘cherries on top’ for retailers

Independent retailers who unpacked their deliveries of Down Memory Lane cards from Cherry Orchard Publishing between mid December and early January also will have found a ticket that will have gone into a Grand Prize Draw with £1,000 cash up for grabs!

As announced on PG Buzz in January all tickets were put into a ‘hat’ with four lucky winners’ names drawn from the hat on Cherry Orchard’s stand at Spring Fair (on the Cardgains Village). The lucky winners were: First Prize of £500 was won by Best Wishes in Maldon; Second Prize of £250 went to Newsmarket in Rainham; Third Prize of £150 was won by Gemini Greetings in East Sussex while Troika in Lincoln won the Fourth Prize of £100.
