Recognition for Jolly Awesome founder

Matt Nguyen, founder of Jolly Awesome has been named as one of the ’40 under 40’ for 2018 by US trade magazine Stationery Trends. The programme acknowledges those that have been outstanding contributors and influencers in the gift industry.

“It’s amazing to be recognised in the 40 under 40 alongside some very talented industry peers, especially given it’s an American publication’s list – we’ve been working hard to raise our profile and build our brand over there,” says Matt.

In 2014 Matt quit his corporate marketing job and founded Jolly Awesome, publishing his contemporary illustrations, humour-led stationery, greetings cards and giftware. What started as a passion project quickly grew into an awesome international brand. Alongside with his wife and dog, Nguyen has since sold millions of greeting cards into retailers around the world. He now owns Jolly Awesome, Paperboy London and Baby Raffy.

Matt is also a finalist in The Lynn Tait Most Promising Young Designer or Artist Award and Jolly Awesome is a finalist in the Best Contemporary Trend Range for its Cut Outs in The Henries 2018.

“It’s a huge honour to be nominated for two Henries,” says Matt. “We’re looking forward to celebrating at the event in October with a few Jagerbombs – no matter the outcome!”
