Sponsoring Just the Tonic’s Big Value Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Fringe seemed like a natural progression of the relationship as Vanessa Mallia, PR and social media manager explains: “Our previous campaigns with Just The Tonic have been greatly received by customers. We completed a comedy ticket ‘Yoke hunt’ where we hid free comedy tickets in our London stores over Easter. Our audiences are very similar, as they both appreciate humour, so we believe this partnership to be a great fit. We’re really excited to be sponsoring the show and connect with new audiences.”

Scribbler’s Edinburgh store is key in promoting the event, with flyers in-store offering 50% off all Just the Tonic shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to all store customers.

Just the Tonic’s Big Value Comedy Show is a veteran at the Edinburgh Fringe and has been running since 2002. The Big Value Comedy Show gives the audience a chance to see four of the best new comedians on the circuit for the cost of just one show.

Previous years have featured comedians such as: Jon Richardson, Romesh Ranganathan, Sarah Millican, Jason Manford, Rob Beckett, Mickey Flanaghan, Lee Mack and many more. This year’s Show is set to feature some incredible comedians such as: Naomi Cooper, Hannah Platt, Huge Davies, Rosco McClelland, Danny Clives, and Janet Garner.

Speaking about the sponsorship, John Procter, founder of Scribbler said: “Joining forces with a comedy club is something we have dreamed of for years! The synergy between both brands is indisputable, we both share the same mission: to make our audiences laugh, and we’re delighted to be hitting the biggest comedy stage in the world.”

  • The Big Value Comedy Show shows twice daily between 2 – 12 and 14 – 26 August at Grassmarket Centre, 86 Candlemaker Row, Edinburgh, EH1 2QA. Tickets are just £10.
