GCA To Beef Up On Its Retail Support

The Greeting Card Association (GCA) is looking to bolster its support for retail members and will be ‘all ears’ at PG Live today and tomorrow (June 5 and June 6) to hear from retailers what it can do to help.

“We already have a strong contingent of retail members, ranging from leading specialist multiples, award winning small groups, department stores and pioneering independents, but we always welcome more – and it still is only £10 for retailers to join!” explained Sharon Little, ceo of the GCA who will be on the association’s stand (located just outside the lunchroom at PG Live) between 1-3pm.

The association’s historic strength has been in helping card publishers, but as evidenced by the suite of downloadable Point of Sale items for Spring Seasons (designed by UKG), it is looking to offer more support for retailers.

The presence at PG Live also provides the GCA the opportunity to share the branding for this year’s Thinking of You Week as well as asking retailers to complete a ‘one minute mini survey’ to establish their awareness of the Week as well as the free PoS available and the Festive Friday GCA initiative which encourages and promotes early Christmas card sending.
