The winners of The Henries 2017 greeting card industry awards were announced this evening (Thursday 5 October) at a lavish awards event, held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, hosted by comedian John Robins.
The lavish awards event, which this year took on a Parisian theme, was attended by over 600 members of the greeting card community who shared in the joy as the publishers of the UK’s most innovative greeting card ranges and suppliers who had gone the extra mile on service made their way to the stage to collect their impressive trophies.
Organised by Progressive Greetings, The Henries are accepted as the ultimate accolades in the greeting card industry.
Welcoming guests, Warren Lomax, joint managing director of Max Publishing said: “The Parisians are known for many attributes that are synonymous with the greeting card industry. Namely style, panache, elegance, individuality and that elusive ‘Je ne sais quoi.
We in the UK greeting card industry have all of this in abundance. Plus, Paris, the city of love and romance, has soul and feeling, two key attributes of our great industry.”
The grand finale was the presentation of Honorary Achievement Award, which was presented to Second Nature’s Rod and Trevor Schragger.
Introducing this prestigious award, PG’s editor Jakki Brown said: “Over the last 30 years they have constantly reinvented the products they produce, creating stalwart ranges that stand the test of time, both in the UK and every corner of the world.”
